These two cookbooks are wonderful and I give them five stars. I am sad they are due back at the library and I have to return them!

More sabbath snow yet again
canceling church once more
so our most recent amaryllis
is only able to flaunt its glory for us
as we hunker down blanketed in white
while the scrape of snowplows lumber past.
TV Series: Larkrise to Candleford
We are sorry to be done with the four seasons of this BBC period costume drama that was aired between 2009 and 2013. We watched it recently on Amazon Prime instant streaming at the recommendation of a homeschooling friend, and we are so glad we did! We loved it and highly recommend it.

Book Review: The Paris Architect
Books about war are not my favorite genre, so it took a book club to get me to read this one about World War II. We had a great discussion about it this evening.

Snow Photos
We’ve had a very snowy season here… most Monday and Tuesday activities have been cancelled since New Years. I have only been to the pottery studio twice since the holidays, since Tuesday mornings have so often been impassable.

Our Youngest Turns 18
We had a nice small celebration for our youngest turning 18, as you can see in the photos below.

I really enjoyed this light book about a young woman with an amazingly discerning palate. She can taste anything and tell you what is in it and what it needs.
