Last Friday on opening night in a sold out theater, we saw the new version of Beauty and the Beast. It was fun and we enjoyed it.

This film is about a culture so very different from our own that I found every instant of it fascinating. You might too.

The Crown is a spectacular TV series made by Netflix. It is one of the most expensive TV shows ever, and its sumptuous attention to detail shows that no expense was spared.

It is lovely how the experience, grace, humility, and sensitivity, of Robert De Niro’s character helps the young people in this movie, and in turn, their vigor, enthusiasm, and freshness rib off on him as well.

I don’t recommend seeing this film because the story line doesn’t make a whole lot of sense and I don’t share or agree with whatever world view they are depicting.

I saw Zootopia, which is about a cartoon city of all sorts of mammals. They have evolved enough to get past eating one another and get along peaceably, while there is still some criminal activity to be apprehended and overcome.

This movie follows the story from the crucifixion to the ascension, from a Roman soldier’s point of view.

This film chronicles the story of the British suffragette movement in London a little over 100 years ago. It is important to get a glimpse of what sacrifices were made to garner rights we have today.
