Far from the madding crowd movie review

I loved this new movie and give it 5 stars. After reading Portrait of a Lady recently, I especially appreciated a different and better ending to the two good, one bad suitor scenario that this story and that other one shared.

I thought the film’s cinematography beautiful, the casting terrific, and the acting well done. Throw in beautiful costumes, impressionistic lighting, galloping horsemanship, rivals, as well as a farm to save and you get the idea. So when you are in the mood for a love story with a headstrong, impetuous, independent heroine, this will be just the thing.

I thought it was wonderful and will watch it again someday.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
