Two Lists from Reading the Bible Lesson on Man

“I was reading the Bible lesson this morning and was inspired to write down a list of:

1) What God does for man, and

2) What I do

Thought I’d share:

From the Bible lesson on Man:

What does God do:

⁃girdeth me with strength (Ps. 18:32)

⁃maketh my way perfect (Ps. 18:32)

⁃creates me in His own image (Gen. 1:27)

⁃blesses me (Gen. 1:28)

⁃makes me fruitful (productive, producing in abundance)(Gen. 1:28)

⁃gives me dominion (Gen. 1:28)

⁃gives me understanding (Job 32:8)

⁃beareth witness with our spirit (Rom. 8:16)

⁃reveals spiritual understanding (S&H 14:27)

⁃reveals the consciousness of my dominion over whole earth (S&H 14:28)

⁃sends His angels (Dan. 6:22)

⁃shuts the lions mouth (Dan. 6:22)

⁃supplies the wisdom & occasion for a victory over evil (S&H 571:17)

⁃brings forth food for my use (S&H 530:7)

⁃pours forth more than we accept (S&H 2:28)

⁃holds human thought in line with unselfed love (S&H 192:30)

⁃governs me (S&H 304:14)

⁃produces harmony (S&H 304:16)

⁃opens the blinded eyes (Isa. 35:5)

⁃clads me in the panoply of Love (S&H 571:18)

⁃renews my strength (Isa. 40:31)

⁃feeds me (S&H 530:6)

⁃is my refuge and strength (S&H 444:11)

⁃present help (S&H 444:11)

⁃sustains me (S&H 530:5)

⁃is my life

⁃will come and save (Isa 35:4)

⁃opens the blind eyes (Mark 10:51)

⁃makes me capable of all this (S&H 393:13)

⁃bestows on me, ability and power (S&H 393:14)

What do I do:

⁃reflect God’s likeness

⁃reflect, in glorified quality, the infinite Father-Mother God

⁃meditate day & night in His law

⁃prosper

⁃trust in Thee

⁃know thyself

⁃trust in the Lord

⁃do good

⁃trust Him

⁃receive the divine power (S&H 192 30)

⁃receive sight (Mark 10:51)

⁃follow Jesus in the way (Mark 10:52)

⁃realize the Science of man (S&H 409:25)

⁃seek the true model (S&H 409:26)

⁃wait upon the Lord (Isa. 40:31)

⁃take possession of my body (consciousness) (S&H 393:10)

⁃govern the bodys feeling and action (S&H 393:11)

⁃rise in the strength of Spirit (S&H 393:12)

⁃resist all that is unlike God (S&H 393:12)

⁃admit that I am God’s own likeness (S&H 90:24)

⁃turn from sin and lose sight of mortal selfhood (S&H 316:5)
