This is a book about cultivating women leaders in the workplace. It is a balanced examination of the issues involved, and is an enlightening, practical, and interesting read.
Book Review: The Thirteenth Tale
I really enjoyed this book and give it a provisional five stars. It is well written and engaging, about a famous author finally telling “the truth” about her origins to a biographer, who is the main character.
Book Review: Dahveed (Series)
If you are interested in detailed, fictional accounts of old testament characters, this author is one you should not miss.
Book Review: Julie
This work of historical fiction is based on the author’s own life, and is set in the depression, featuring the impending Great Flood of Pennsylvania.
Book Review: An Illustrated Journey
I loved this book by Danny Gregory and give it five stars. It has a short excerpt by different artists about their travel journaling practice, complete with materials they liked and why they do it, accompanied by some photos of their work.
Book Review: All the Light We Cannot See
Finally a Pulitzer winner worthy of the prize. This is a masterful, exquisitely written novel, filled with imagery and lyrically poetic prose.
Book Review: The Story of Science Series
I can’t say enough good things about this science series written by Joy Hakim that was designed for middle schoolers. I read it aloud twice, to two different kids who enjoyed it, and I loved it as much as they did, both times.
