I am in the IAPS Pastel World International Show 2026
It is a superb honor to be juried into the top pastel show in the world, which is taking place now in Albuquerque. More than that, however, is that it is my fifth time to get into this show, which is the benchmark for becoming what is known as a “Master Pastellist.”

This is the best time of year in our little third of an acre. It is bursting out in bloom right now, with many iris, peonies, baptista, allium, virbernum, quince, azalea, poppy, and even lemons.

We were there walking from booth to booth from 10 am until 4pm– over 10,000 steps– and my husband doesn’t even think we saw half of it. There were probably literally a thousand vendors.
Goal Achieved: Master Pastellist Status!
I am delighted to report that since I have just gotten my fifth painting juried into the elite IAPS Pastel World Show, I will now receive “Master Pastellist” status.

This was a very richly endowed book exchange holiday for us. In this post you can see the books we got and gave– mostly non-fiction, and only one novel!
