As mentioned in this blog post the other day where you can see the images in the show up close, last night I had a one woman show opening of small, bright, affordable abstract works of mine in Byrd’s Books in Bethel, CT. It was a snowy 6 degree evening, but I still sold three paintings! And there is still plenty of time to see these 25 paintings; they will be there until Valentine’s Day.
This was a joint effort. First, Thanks to Byrds Books for having me! I did all the art, but my husband did all the framing, and our youngest daughter did a great job hanging the show (so appreciated; thank you both!). And thank you to the blog readers, church friends, book club people, and knitting club folks that came out in the cold to the opening!
I didn’t take many pictures, but the ones in this post will give you a sense of it. My work looks good on a thirteen foot wall in the store.
