You are Well, and You Know It

You are Well, and You Know It

I am well, and I know it

I have been pondering this quote about spiritual healing from a book I read last year:

“Let us suppose that there is a sick person whom another would heal mentally. The healer begins by mental argument. He mentally says, “You are well, and you know it;” and he supports this silent mental force by audible explanation, attestation, and precedent. His mental and oral arguments aim to refute the sick man’s thoughts, words, and actions, in certain directions, and turn them into channels of Truth. He persists in this course until the patient’s mind yields, and the harmonious thought has the full control over this mind on the point at issue. The end is attained, and the patient says and feels, “I am well, and I know it.”

by Mary Baker Eddy, Miscellaneous Writings, page 220

So let’s run with that and also consider claiming this for ourselves:

I am well, and I know it

I am beautiful, and I know it

I am loved, and I know it

I am strong, and I know it

I am capable, and I know it

I am provided for, and I know it

I am creative, and I know it

I am intelligent, and I know it

I am rested, and I know it

I am sinless, and I know it

I am powerful, and I know it

I am compassionate, and I know it

I am perceptive, and I know it

I am fearless, and I know it

I am unselfish, and I know it

I am liberated, and I know it

I am tenacious, and I know it

I am considerate, and I know it

I am valued, and I know it

I am enthusiastic, and I know it

I am honorable, and I know it

I am generous, and I know it

I am cared for, and I know it

I am rich, and I know it

I am healthy, and I know it

I am kind, and I know it

I am energetic, and I know it

I am appreciated, and I know it

I am fulfilled, and I know it

I am satisfied, and I know it

I am pure, and I know it

I am functioning, and I know it

I am persistent, and I know it

I am worthy, and I know it

I am happy, and I know it

I am peaceful, and I know it

I am complete, and I know it

This is just a start, but see how freeing it is?

Let’s claim this– and further good– for ourselves and others!

I’m going to print this and read it as an affirmation daily. There are many things on your posting that “I know”…for some, I’m still a work in progress!

What a perfect way to begin anew! “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” This is the way the spiritual idea rests. Love this! Thank you!
