Throughout my life I have had many opportunities to forgive people. My indispensable go-to approach in these situations is to follow Jesus’ example on the cross when he magnanimously said, “Forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Above is Sacramento from the air; both our daughter’s office and apartment are in the above photo.
Here are the rest of my photos from our trip to Sacramento. Above is the capital of California…
Above is the most foodie meal I had this week. Also we went out for sushi where I had delicious (cooked) salmon on a bed of avocado…
We knew this was the place the minute we walked in. We had seen some awful apartments, many good ones, and this one great one. I thank God that it has worked out for her.
Our hostess for this week in Sacramento was someone I had met only for a couple minutes once in Boston, but she knows my kids, who all think she is awesome.
I enjoyed visiting this awesome Christian Science Reading Room in downtown Sacramento. I love how it was designed to coordinate with the trade edition of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. And their enormous window was well used for quotes, articles, and ideas.
One of my first impressions of Sacramento upon arriving was seeing these vivid crepe myrtles blooming everywhere. They are wonderful and their deep rich colors are complimented by the clear skies. These trees, with their twisted trunks, seemed very content in drought conditions.
We enjoyed this bakery in Sacramento and made phone calls from here to get appointments to see apartments in the upcoming week.
Here are my photos from out the window during this long trip that changed planes in Vegas.
But amid it all was this delightful oasis of a delicious restaurant that we had stumbled on all because of rumbling stomachs and a tiny sign.
Today I picked our younger daughter up at Rose-Hulman’s Operation Catapult Engineering Camp, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Rose-Hulman is a strong undergraduate engineering program that is routinely ranked #1 among engineering schools that do not have PhD programs.
I love a good eggplant parmesan, and this one blows the socks off of any I’ve ever had.
We have spent a hot day filling our daughter’s Ubox with furniture from her apartment
