Incline Toward the Big Questions (George Saunders quote)
Err in the direction of kindness nd avoid the things that would reduce you and make you trivial.

There are some blossoms, and the air smells pungently amazing, but most it is just green, green green!
I recommend playing with charcoal: vine, compressed, and pencil, to get a range of marks and values. Maybe try it in your sketchbook?
Heaven knows how many trees I’ve climbed when my body was still in a climbing way…
I’m in this lovely New Haven Paint and Clay show at the Guilford Art Center Gallery in Connecticut. It will be up until June 20, if you’d like to visit,
This is so sumptuously delicious it is hard to explain. It is rich but packed with protein, and superbly satisfying.
I hope you find something among all this artwork, photography, memes, links, and quotes that spurs you on, informs, inspires, supports, educates, encourages or motivates you.
Yesteryear packs a punch and is different than anything you’ve ever read. I love the exuberance and cheer of this piece. I made this for the PSME Monthly challenge for May to paint “a bouquet of flowers.”
I’m prepping to tackle my 48″x48″ boards outside this summer! The weather is finally conducive!

This is incredibly delicious, and is especially fun if you have chive flowers in your garden you can use. It is not hard to do, but is a top-of-the-line company meal, even though I just made it for the two of us last weekend.
This is the best time of year in our little third of an acre. It is bursting out in bloom right now, with many iris, peonies, baptista, allium, virbernum, quince, azalea, poppy, and even lemons.
I want to tell you something. This morning is bright after all the steady rain, and every iris, peony, rose, opens its mouth, rejoicing.
I enjoyed this chick lit beach read about an 80 year old woman, Kathleen, who doesn’t want to give up on life. She decides to go on a road trip…
This salad is a good side, packed with veggies, and mixed with delicious basil dressing. It is perfect for the spring when the asparagus ans snap peas are in season.
Don’t you love a road trip? I’ve been on many! Here is a abstract painting of one.
