This New Pond Farm art show is a fun one to be in and a percentage goes to benefit the farm. I made the above chard from the farm out of pastel for the show and
I’m so excited! After two years of hard work, my new website will be ready to launch on Monday. It will have all sorts of features you have been waiting for:
“The nature of God is a circle
of which the center is everywhere
and the circumference is nowhere.”

I can’t say enough good things about this science series written by Joy Hakim that was designed for middle schoolers. I read it aloud twice, to two different kids who enjoyed it, and I loved it as much as they did, both times.
I’ve enjoyed visiting Alain Picard’s studio recently. It is fun to watch him work, grow, and become successful as an artist.
What better way to honor our veterans on Memorial Day than with the best berry cobbler?
This is really delicious and very easy, although a food processor to pulse the crumble in does help.

Suffice it to say it is a very corrupt business. Studies at the University of California state that 73% of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil on US shelves DID NOT MEET standards for genuine olive oil.
I love these photos I found on Pinterest of French floral artist Claire Basler’s studio, and thought you might enjoy them too.
When I think of persistence, I think of the slow erosion of stone, or the prolonged build up of stalactites and stalagmites, over long years of seemingly inconsequential but protracted dripping.
Thank you for this day made
of wind and rain and sun and the scent
of old-fashioned lilacs.
Here you can see the full trajectory of our tree from bright pink at the beginning, to almost white as it fades into leaves and the petals fall.
I thought the film’s cinematography beautiful, the casting terrific, and the acting well done. Throw in beautiful costumes, impressionistic lighting, galloping horsemanship, rivals, as well as a farm to save and you get the idea.
