This is a story about two lonely people, an elderly widower and a seventeen year old girl, who both read the same reading list, and how it changes their lives. Mental health issues play a role, as well as grief. I found the elderly gentlemen particularly endearing.
I hope you prioritize meeting your own needs. There is only one you and this is first and foremost, your job. You are worth it and deserve it.
The vibrancy of the colors, the countless varieties– there are so many ways to feel the joy of the season.
I love studying the play of light with dark, shadow and highlight, and the emphasis of texture when color is removed.

The “Golden Shovel” is a modern poetic form invented by Terence Heyes, and this is the one I wrote recently in that painting workshop I attended.
I set up right up close to this magnificent tree to paint the ancient trunk and the glorious back lighting.
