Growth Changes

Our ancestors lived organically,
freely sprawling out of the fertile soil.
My generation exists hydroponically,
efficiently enclosed, with our feet in water.
The next generation are air plants,
trying to thrive on mere mist and humidity.
How and on what will their children live?

We all need the sun,
and to photosynthesize,
but are being separated
further and further
from our origin
and with less and less
interface with others
in the natural world.

I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
