As mentioned in this blog post the other day where you can see the images in the show up close, last night I had a one woman show opening of small, bright, affordable abstract works of mine in Byrd’s Books in Bethel, CT. It was a snowy 6 degree evening, but I still sold three paintings! And there is still plenty of time to see these 25 paintings; they will be there until Valentine’s Day.
This was a joint effort. First, Thanks to Byrds Books for having me! I did all the art, but my husband did all the framing, and our youngest daughter did a great job hanging the show (so appreciated; thank you both!). And thank you to the blog readers, church friends, book club people, and knitting club folks that came out in the cold to the opening!
I didn’t take many pictures, but the ones in this post will give you a sense of it. My work looks good on a thirteen foot wall in the store.

Congratulations, Polly! The work is so colorful and fun! And the presentation is excellent! Nice frames and hanging! Well done!
Beautifully presented and you look proud and happy! Thrilled for you and keep up the good work. You are an inspiration!
Love reading your blog with it’s many insights.
