I applied for a collage feature, and this is the woman that got it. I can’t argue with that! Don’t you love what she’s doing?

Look at the scale she’s working at in this video.

Check out a short clip of her studio here.

Check out her website here. A quote from her website: “Originally trained as a photographer, she builds her own source materials, paintings, monotypes, drawings, and photographs, then tears them apart to collage them back together. The result is work that reads from across the room and rewards sustained looking. Fragile but strong. Created from destruction. Her photographic eye shapes everything, including what she withholds. The space between things, where one material ends and another begins, is where the work lives.”

Jackie talks about liking the conversation between things. She says, “In the shift in scale, the story that gets made.” And she also quips, “This is what a conversation looks like when one voice is made of paper.”
