Visiting Blog Readers in Cambridge and Flying Home

Many years ago (maybe 10?), while we were in Boston, one of these blog readers (Gillian) surprised me by recognizing me from this blog. She couldn’t remember how she had initially found the blog, but had already been a blog reader for quite some time. We had a great time chatting with both her and her sister (Dilys), who also became a blog reader after meeting us. It was fun to meet them then, and I remember wishing they lived closer by.

During all these intervening years, they’ve been commenters on and supporters of this blog. When we were planning a trip to England, we were sure to plan in some time to spend with them. I’m so glad we had a chance to get to know them better! We had a lovely time together, laughing and incessantly talking, during tea, dinner, and even banangrams in the evening, as well as over breakfast the next day, right before we caught our plane for home.

That’s what this blog does; it not only amplifies good, but it brings positive people together. I’m so grateful for that. Sharing all this good together is a beautiful thing. Now that you’ve met Gillian and Dilys, look for their comments as they crop up sometimes below posts on the blog. I encourage all of you to comment on the blog too, so we can get to know you as well. There is a place to do so under every post.

This has been a great trip, and was a special bonding time for my husband and me. We both work from home, but don’t often get a lot of dedicated time alone together. We loved all the exploration and discovery this trip made possible, all the colors and texture and sounds, the sheep, the variety of weather and lodging, the people we met, the history, and especially all the hiking and nature we immersed ourselves in. We were also glad to invest in this wonderful budding friendship, as well as some others in London, which like so many things, including the reason for the trip to begin with, was facilitated by our presence online.

We are now ready for re-entry into our everyday lives, feeling refreshed and reenergized for our next phase of things.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Hi Polly!
It was so lovely to meet up with you and James again! We laughed so much and I felt we could have talked forever!! How wonderful it is to get to know you both better and I love your photographs of the event.
Gillian and I don’t meet up often as we don’t live very close but we do meet online most days, so it was super for us to be together.
Following your footsteps around the UK has been interesting as you find beauty in everyday things that we may take for granted.
Let’s trust we can meet up again sometime soon.
    With gratitude xxx
