Recently, I took some out-of-state family on my usual walk, and it is amazing how different people see a place differently. As a mushroom enthusiast, this is what he saw, and I was amazed, since most of it I walk by all the time and don’t see.  I think I’m taking in the place, but this aspect has completely slipped under my radar.

And look at those colors! If you think of mushrooms as just brown, think again! These were absolutely gorgeous colors, as you can see in the photos– maroon, cadmium yellow, mustard, and an almost electric pumpkin orange.. I need to paint that color combo!
