Community Shellfish from Maine (with Video Seafood Recipes)

Community Shellfish, Seafood from Maine, Video Seafood recipes

One of my delights the last six months has been to have Community Shellfish move into town, setting up five minutes from my house, where they could install big lobster tanks out back. As you can see from the sign below, they bring seafood, super fresh, directly from Maine, to Connecticut.

Now any of you blog readers that have been around a while know how I love Maine, seafood, and supporting small (especially local!) businesses. Wow, all that in one place!

Bob, above, could tell I was an instant fan, as a general enthusiast of both Maine and fish, as well as a foodie and a cook. He has supplied the fish for our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, as well as for normal, ongoing weekday meals, like yesterday’s, shown below, served with my super Easy Cauliflower Leek Gratin.

The quality of the fish and seafood is great. It is always good to know where your food comes from, and even better to become friends with those that make it possible. You’ve heard me say that before when I’ve plugged the farmer’s market.

Additionally, Bob became a subscriber of this blog, so reads it along with you.

What took me a while to realize, is that Bob is a videographer who has beautifully videoed some seafood recipes. They are available online, and I wanted to be sure to share them with you. Check out his seafood and fish recipes here.

Hum… which one are you going to try?

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
