This 18″x24″ pastel painting was painted in plein air. I was fascinated with the abstract quality of all this this texture on the tree bark, and I painted it larger than life to draw attention to what is too often overlooked or ignored. It was blissful to focus so closely on a small thing.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. My 5th grade diorama was encircled covered wagons in the Rocky Mountains. The teacher (Mrs.Pitts) loved it so much she kept it in her classroom for a decade until she retired.
