Photos of August walks

Another month of walking at the same place! I hiked a lot, apart from the hurricane and the two tornados here this August. Debris from those extreme weather events is evident everywhere (see a typical shot of that first below). There were plenty of pretty days too, some downright stunning. I can’t remember when I’ve hiked so frequently and repeatedly on the same piece of ground. Because of that, you will see some repeated scenes here, all changed by the procession of the season.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. My water lillies bloomed much earlier in Nashville…I enjoy observations the cycles of plant life in relation to their habituate. When I first started gardening, I was told there are only three factors to consider:
    Sun
    Water
    Soil

    …and the fourth I learned….

Some plants do not like ME!

    Purdy!!!

We await Mom Nature’s Wonderful Way She is already reviving our SC Mountain forests! And thank goodness She knows how to make Redwoods last thousands of years….tannin (or some type of acid) in the bark, to keep the fire from too much damage! (Mom knows.)
