Ceramic Goblets and Tumblers our Daughter is Working On

Yesterday, I drove our daughter back to school after spring break, and got to see the beginnings of the goblet and tumbler series she is working on in the ceramic’s studio. You can see photos of them in this post, with many more on the way. She is also working on formulating some of her own glazes, so you can see below a bucket of test tiles ready for her to resume work on that.

Just prior to spring break, she had been at the national ceramic’s conference (NCECA) that was in Pittsburg this year, where she bought me pottery glazing pastels (wahoo, I’ve never yet tried them) and new carving tools I’ll use for sgraffito in my own work. Also check out in the photos the cool brush she bought for herself!

It was so nice to have her home, and I’m glad she was able to hear my talk last Saturday.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
