We enjoyed walking up Fern Canyon in Redwoods National Park where the Jurassic movie was filmed. It was not a stretch to imagine dinosaurs thundering through this landscape. The fern species here are 225 million years old…
Wow – this canyon is well fernished!
Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful posts with us. I have been enjoying your adventures vicariously-what extraordinary experiences you are having!
I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Please send my love to Virginia and Laura. The photos of those two incredible sisters are priceless.
With warmest regards,
Your recent posts make me feel so nostalgic! My husband and I lived in Arcata, California, and I worked at College of the Redwoods, for 12 years. I’m happy you and your daughters are enjoying the beauty of the North Coast. I miss the redwoods and the beaches–the usually empty beaches.
Polly…you have CONVINCED me ….I just have to GO THERE! Unimaginably beautiful….I adore nature , woods, ponds , trees, rocks, MUD! SO this has to be a trip combined with a visit to our son in Seattle…he’s a hiker and would love this place! I may, with your permission forward this to him.
Green, green, and more green….how did it feel on your skin? I can imagine the cool damp. Your pics have not shown any other people….have you come across many others on these adventures?
