Two Doodles in Acrylic

I was exploring mixing greens in the piece above. If I had meant it to be a serious work of art, I would have painted it on thicker paper. As it is, the paper is regrettably thin, which made it hard to photograph well. I was thinking of lush undergrowth when I was doing it.

The painting below is on better paper and was done to use up the paint on the palette. I find it valuable to sometimes paint in a stream-of-consciousness manner as a meditative process. I think it is important not to always be in production mode, and to just paint for the release it offers, without expectation placed on the result.
