The weather has turned lovely but still serious excess water moves through the area. This week I’ve enjoyed hiking around on precarious footing in gorgeous early spring air to see these falls.

After around five inches of rain yesterday, 78,000 people in Connecticut are still without power, with many more than that powerless over the border in New York. Roads and highways are closed due to flooding or trees down.

With temperatures in the fifties yesterday and today, we are thinking spring with good reason! As the weather here improves quickly, I wanted to slip in these photos I took of snow at New Pond Farm just last week, while at least the calendar still says it’s winter!
I took these photos early last Saturday morning after a 12 hour slow snow the day before. I had a great time taking these; I hope you like them… Even though you know I love bright colors, grey can be beautiful!

Between snow storms here we had a few lovely days. I got the opportunity to get out and photograph some of our smaller steams as they head to Long Island Sound. I hope you enjoy them… it’s sleeting here right now…

This was the view from my office windows Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. I live right downtown but you’d never know it to look out my office windows. My third floor office, in our former attic, looks out on these glorious treetops.
