I was so glad to be again on these old stomping grounds, and thought you might like a photo tour too.
Check out my photos here from a long spring ramble around New Pond Farm.
I’m in this art show at New Pond Farm that opened last night, with the two plein air paintings.
Don’t you love the quality of the light in May?
I’m happy to be in this art show benefitting New Pond Farm. Check out the video of me too!
Sometimes painting an abstraction is more representational of a place and a feeling than a literal depiction is.
If you are local go see this show this week! New Pond Farm is a great cause.
I’m so proud of my husband who grew all the vegetables for this expensive fundraising dinner. His produce fed over 100 guests with over 200 pounds of vegetables under a flower filled tent last Saturday night.
I was intrigued by the dramatic shadow patterns in the grass, by the feathery new leaves, and the frothiness of the distant trees. It was an image the spoke to me of the spring transition, its stark lighting, together with tender new grass and unfurling leaves.
These rhododendrons are fireworks of beauty. I love them! I am so grateful to live in such a beautiful place.
I have six landscape paintings done in pastel in this Invitational Art Show at New Pond Farm. Stop by soon if you are local!
Over Memorial Day Weekend I completed these two new landscape paintings of New Pond Farm done in Pastel.
The one above depicts the deep shade of the evergreen with the new leaves beyond in the sunken garden beside the house. The first photo below…
It was great to get out to New Pond Farm with my friend Anne to enjoy all the spring color and fresh air. I love this place! It resuscitates my soul.
