Even though we stayed up on the cliffs above, we traveled up and down the valley on our way to the sights I’ve shared. This lovely place deserved a post of its own! This valley is a quiet wonder, with beauty in every direction. It is most famous as the inspiration for J.R. Tolkein’s Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings. I would definately be happy to come back.
