I had a post like this several years ago (see here and here), but apparently it is time for another. Many of you were curious about what spiritual journal was getting beat up enough to need my husband to make a cover for it for my birthday (see here), so this is one of them. (The other is confidential and work oriented.)
Each week I study the Christian Science Bible Lesson, and use a page in this journal to jot my notes, quotes, paraphrases, questions, imperatives, insights, what has “come to me”, what I want to think about more. The collection of these weeks in this book make a terrific resource for when ever I need spiritual refreshment, when I open it at random and dive in. I bring it with me to church on Sunday mornings too, and it helps me focus and follow along.
So check out the past six weeks here in the photos in this post. I heartily recommend this practice as a way to grow in your understanding of God and your increased solidarity with your own unique brand of faith. You’ll have in one place what speaks to you for when you need it, and I find that invaluable.
