Hike Around Taghkanic Lake (Photos with First Fall Color)

Hike around Taghkanic Lake

James and I went on this lovely, long hike around Lake Taghkanic, in Taghkanic State Park. It was fun to see this early fall color, and to get out and see some fresh views.

We had never been there before; it is about 1.5 hours northwest of our house. There is also a nice beach there, a good picnic area, plenty of opportunities for convenient plein air painting, and it looks like you can rent cabins on the lake too.

In this post you can follow us around the lake and see our little adventure unfold. All these photos were taken with my iPhone.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
