Our Youngest turns 23

Our Youngest turns 23

I am so grateful our youngest is settling into her Physics PhD program (and teaching Physics I) with dignity, focus, and enthusiasm. It is a wonderful thing to see someone both eager to learn and insistent on maintaining life balance in the face of a lot to do. I am so very grateful for how much she loves where she is (see her new apartment here) and for how well she’s navigating “adulting.”

The two of us had a great five week camping trip last summer together to northeastern Canada (see blogs for all of July and the first half of August 2019 in the archive in the sidebar– or below for phone readers). We loved being with her too for her graduation and her museum show last spring (see here and here and here), as well as a nice weekend at her new school last fall (see here). It was wonderful to be with both daughters at Thanksgiving and Christmas too.

I’ve collected some favorite photos of her since her last birthday in this post, and I’m struck with gratitude at the volume of them. They capture just a bit of the terrific, rare, and multifaceted person she is. I’m so grateful she’s so much in our lives and that she had a wonderful year!

Laura! We love you! Here’s to another great trip around the sun!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
