If you get a chance and are in Ridgefield, CT this summer, check out David Dunlap’s paintings at the Watershed Gallery.  They are lovely and particularly fascinating because they are painted on brushed aluminum and even silver.  The one I loved the most (a detail above, the complete painting at the bottom of the post) is painted on silver and is priced at $15,000.  I recommend also David Dunlap’s blog, where you can read about his process on these paintings.
