This is the last painting I did during my artist-in-residency at Creative Arts Camp. It was fun painting The Child Within, with its whimsy, gregarious splashiness, organic shapes with pops of color, like joyously blowing bubbles while singing and skipping. This is mostly acrylic paint with a little collage, and is large at 30″x40.”
See the entire painting above and details of it along with a shot of me painting it below.

I’m so grateful to have been an artist-in-residence at Creative Arts Camp this year!
I love this Polly! I know it is the answer to prayer…. bless you x
I love the feeling of playfulness and of uninhibited joy. There is a sense of pure, unadulterated wonder and freedom in each of us.
Reminds me of the joke.
A snake is obviously digesting a large prey.
The caption: Digesting the child within.
I still smile.
