The Ultimate New Year’s Resolution

The New Testament says whoever shall teach and do the commandments shall be called the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Reading this yesterday, I was struck that the Ten Commandments are the ultimate New Year’s Resolution:

Have no other gods
Do not make any graven image
Do not take God’s name in vain
Keep the sabbath day holy
Honor your father and mother
Do not kill
Do not steal
Do not commit adultery
Do not bear false witness
Do not covet

Taken and implemented on the deepest level, there is a lot to pursue in that list!
