Lincoln the movie review

This is an outstanding movie about how the 13th amendment was ratified. I wholeheartedly recommend it and give it five stars.

It does begin with a very gruesome (but realistic) hand to hand combat scene, but I still think this movie is appropriate for homeschooling families with kids in middle school or older. I want my kids to see it. It should have wide appeal generally, and I’m glad it is showing to packed audiences here. Somehow, this movie seems relevant to our own times as well, since we need to win some congressional battles of our own.

This film illuminates both the situation and time beautifully, as well as the integrity of this remarkable man. Both Steven Spielberg and the cast did a wonderful job. Bravo. Make sure you get to see this one.
