This is the first show I’ve been in with the Madison Art Society. The painting above is the one I have in the show, and prints of it are available here. I am not happy with how it is framed for this show, however, and got a good reference during the opening party for a better framer, which I will try out in the near future.
There is lots of talent in this group, and the people are warm and pleasant. I look forward to painting plein air with them as soon as the season warms. There was only one abstract painting here so I may contemplate putting an abstract in the juried show this spring.
Check out some of my favorites in the show below, and please pardon any weird angles and glare for photography under these conditions is difficult. Wonderful, eh?
