Here were some of the other highlights:

• Delicious restaurant  in Old Town (best meal of the trip): Ada’a on the River
• Good vegan restaurant in DC: Plants Queen
• Best brunch in Arlington: Ruthie’s All-day
• Getting to see our nephew’s new house, meeting his cat, and planting a quince in his yard.
• Going to the Native American museum
• Going to two concerts: one of a soprano soloist, the other the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra
• Seeing MacBeth featuring Ralph Fiennes
• Going to the Torpedo Factory as they were having their 50th anniversary photo taken
• Seeing lots of artwork and flowers everywhere
• Going on the Historic Garden Tour in Old Town (no photography allowed).
