Old Town Alexandria Farmer's Market Photos

I’m not sure what it says about me, but you can take me to any amount of highbrow cultural events, but I’ll like a farmer’s market the best of all. There is something in the mix of colors, shapes, people, flavors, potential, and hopefulness at one that I find irresistible.

The one in Old Town Alexandria is more mixed-ethnic than ours, and it is also year round. We were impressed with the amount of hot house growing of out of season produce represented here–   lots of tomatoes and even some corn.

We went to the farmer’s market both of our Saturday’s there, this first time to get food for the week, and the second time to get food to bring home, as well as to get some of that cheese for our daughter, who we saw on the way home.

In the photos here, you can follow us around and see what grabbed my eye.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
