Hike Photos from Huntington State Park January 2023

January is not our prettiest month, especially since we’ve (unusually) had no snow cover and lots of rain. However, I’m still trying to get out and walk some. If you look closely, there is a bit of rather unseasonably bright color, mostly in the form of gaudy mosses, viridescent lichens, maroon brambles, and brooding or bright skies.

In this post you can see the fruits of my hunt for beauty, texture, and composition in a time when you have to look closely to find it. This level of mindfulness is as invigorating as the winter air!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. These photos give me more clues that your art is inspired by nature. It feeds you.
