Animal Magnetism

There’s an umbrella term for all that.
It’s called animal magnetism:
anything other than God that claims control,
anything that opposes or denies God’s presence,
believing anything that is not true,
the unreal seeming real,
believing evil is as genuine as good,
that disease is more powerful than health,
that hate is stronger than love,
that life is in matter,
and hello,
believing you or anyone else
could have have a separate mind
to believe such things
and act out of those beliefs.

The sum total of all error.
The suppositional absence of the Christ.
Anything that is not joy… is animal magnetism.

Apathy, malaise, anxiety, depression,
self-will, sin, distraction, fragmentation,
overwhelm, fear, hopelessness, condescension,
sickness, contagion, complaint, infirmity,
disfunction, damage, immorality, discord,
arrogance, narcissism, spite, cruelty, hubris,
lack, loss, frustration, confusion, breakage,
obstruction, suffering, resentment, vanity,
pain, discrimination, a pandemic, rape, racism,
robbery, incest, atrocity, violence, murder.
Horrible as these are, they are decoys.
From the largest, spiritual view
they are indicators of fake news.
Don’t cherish any imposition as real
that impossibly steals the upper hand.
Jesus never ignored or condoned evil;
but he handily destroyed it.

Learn that every problem
is a false concept acting mesmerically
in the human consciousness.

We focus on fixing problems
when instead we just need
to cease being mesmerized.
A hypnotist requires consent,
and it is our prerogative to flatly deny
that essential permission.
Don’t be afraid of animal magnetism,
but don’t unwittingly play into its hands
by collaborating with it, believing its tripe.
Unmask it. Expose it.
Call it out as an imposter.
Don’t listen to it,
be impressed by it,
or available for it.
Reject it as a lie.
It is only a term
for what suggests itself
but doesn’t even exist
unless we take that suggestion in
and cosy up to its unsavoriness for a while.
So stay objective. Be wise.
Cast down every insinuation of error.
Refuse to imagine any hurt or harm.
Those claims are illusions,
no matter how loudly they scream.
They have no power,
and are merely mythological.
We need to neutralize,
disarm, and resist all that.

Like Jesus, who stilled storms
by knowing God is 100% supreme,
always accessible, infinite good,
with no room for anything else,
have your thought totally full
of the harmony of being.
Divine Love’s care and provision
have never lapsed, nor gone missing.
God is the only Mind
and this divine influence
is an ever-present protection
in our consciousness.
Defend yourself.
Receive the Christ.
Choose only pure
and perfect mental concepts.
Accept that God is your life.
Trust your unsevered relationship
with God.

Consider that we are each a boat.
If the tumultuous waves
symbolize animal magnetism,
the firm ballast that keeps our vessel
on even keel is the Truth, God.
The waters may be ever agitated,
but what good is the boat
if it never sails?
Confidently we leave the harbor,
relying on what keeps us stable,
unfazed by whatever may assail.

Animal magnetism unhandled,
handles you. But awake to it,
with God as your all,
you are safe.
Destroy your belief in its claim
against the omnipotence of good
and poof
it is miraculously gone.
The storm is stilled.
Only what is in your own thought
can either harm you or heal you.
Discover and abide in God’s goodness
that was and is already wholly present.
Realization and demonstration are one.
Trounce animal magnetism, that pesky term,
and everyday embrace God’s peaceful bliss,
dominion, and completely superior authority.
