Happy Golden Pi Day

Happy Golden Pi Day

Golden pi day

With a homeschooling student in the house that loves math, we’ve been celebrating “pi day” today. Pi is a mathematical constant equal to 3.14159, so today is the “Golden pi day” as it is uniquely 3/14/15, especially celebrated this morning at 9:26 and 53 seconds. Our daughter posted on Facebook “Happy pi day” at that exact moment. We got the above T-shirt for her in honor of this anticipated day.

When asked what kind of “pi” she wanted today, she asked for garlic and onion pizza “pi” (which was delicious but I forgot to take a photo of it) and the pineapple “pi” shown below made by my husband.

You can also see a fuzzy photo of her sporting her new shirt below, ready for robotics with the side shields already attached to her glasses that turn them into safety glasses.

Hope you’ve had a fun “pi day” too!
