This rather intense, high contrast abstract painting in pastel I have just completed. It is titled Rubaiyat, after the Sufi poem by that name.

Today’s Plein Air Oil Painting
This morning I cooled my heals north of here, while our youngest daughter was on a field trip. I took advantage of the time out of pocket and painted this lovely view of the Housatonic river in oil.
