Pottery I Made My Husband For Christmas

I made these two “soup and half sandwich” trays for my husband for Christmas (we have bowls that will match.) Both of these pieces represent progress for me technique-wise. The one on the left is my first sgraffito (clay carving technique) on multiple colors. On the one on the right, I pioneered an original under-glaze technique using artist’s tape on wet clay that worked astonishingly well. I will be doing more of that! Anyway, as you can see below, he liked them.
