Our Youngest Turns 15

Our Youngest Turns 15

Our youngest quietly turned fifteen today.  She was out of the house for an extended pottery class this afternoon and was gone this evening for her Robotics team, so we celebrated earlier in the day, as is our privilege as homeschoolers.  We made our traditional birthday cookies, with an enormous set for the birthday girl to frost.  She opened her presents: mostly new puzzles to get her through the year. The three dimensional round puzzle that I bought at the MIT Museum store, promised on the package to be extremely difficult, and suggested that a visit to their website for hints would be inevitable. However, Laura had the thing mastered, without help, in less than 20 minutes! Then, licking frosting off the beaters she quipped, “Now this is my idea of how to spend a day!”

We are so glad she came to be with us!
