I have loved the Desiderata for almost as long as I can remember. I grew up with it on the wall of my mother’s kitchen, penned carefully by my oldest sister. It was my credo from all those years when I was an atheist. I love it still, and I’m surprised it has taken eight years of daily postings to find its way onto my blog!

Enjoy it and treasure it. Imagine a world where everyone follows this sound advice. That universal peace can start with each of us as we heed these wise injunctions.
