Hike in Moosalamoo National Forest

My husband and I are just back from a mid-week trip to Vermont. We finally realized we were not going to get a vacation otherwise this year, and that we needed to get out for an extended excursion while the weather was still good, to refreshen ourselves before we settle into a long winter of pandemic isolation.

We went on a couple great hikes and this was the first one.  It included a rock scramble to a multi-story waterfall, and then a cliff walk with fabulous views, where we enjoyed a picnic with glory spread out at our feet. Also of interest were enormous scattered rocks,  amazing root structures that navigated them, and the wild blueberry bushes seasonally turning rusty orange.

If you would like to see a ten second video of the waterfall, you can see it here on my Instagram account. Otherwise see the highlights we saw in this post.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. I loved that James mentioned your Expressions of Joy
(Ecstasy, I think he said!) when you see the Fall Colors in Vermont, in his recent Podcast on the Bible.
(You “Leaf Peepers!” Such a Fun title!)

I can certainly relate: when hubby n I were there a decade-plus ago, I … well… I went nuts!! I flipped over the intense and diverse colors in the landscape!! Wowza!
Came home to our Oak-studded Acre and promptly planted ten (10!) Maple Trees!!

Thank you for the super -photo-trip down memory lane. Such wonderful scenes… especially the tree growing out of that mossy-blue rock!!

    Happy me!
