I Finally saw the IAPS Pastel World Show
2026 Pastel World Show

Joy Cometh in the Morning (pastel) by Polly Castor

Back in June, I posted about being in the prestigious Pastel World Show, which also gave me the distinction of finally becoming a master pastellist. Apparently it will take them a couple years to give me that medal, but I now can apply to shows in a whole new elite league. Recently I did apply on that next level, and when doing so, realized they had posted online the whole brick-and-mortar show I missed in Albuquerque in person. So I got to see it belatedly and virtually.

Above you can see my work that was in that show, and my favorites from the show below, in no particular order. I am so grateful to be showing with these beautiful artists, and to be working in such a versatile medium as pastel.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
