Our time in Sacramento was about food and family. We were there to meet our older daughter’s boyfriend’s dad and uncle, but while we were in town she wanted us to visit some of her favorite places and restaurants. This included her fabulous natural foods co-op, the Davis botanical garden, and the following restaurants:
Kru (Contemporary Japanese cuisine with some church friends)
The Rind (*best grilled cheese in the nation” and I’d agree. I wish I had gone back again while I was there.)
Moonbelly Bakery (for pastries for breakfast)
Orphan (for terrific after church brunch)
Salt and Straw (for unusual flavors of ice cream that we’d heard about from our daughter and teased her about until we had them and will tease her no more!)
We had a great time, even though this was squeezed in an already burstingly full summer.
