It was particularly nice to have our younger daughter home for the past month while she learned to drive and bought a car. She is wonderful as a hiking buddy and I’ll miss her now that she’s headed to her new ongoing digs in northern New York state.
As you can see in the photos below in this post, it’s been a lushly green month, punctuated by plenty of rain, and pleasant enough temperatures. We saw more wild lady slipper orchids than usual, and basked in all the sky and leaves, roots and reflections.
