I like Peter Joyce’s artwork, even though it has less value contrast and bright pigment than I prefer. He makes me want to use more white tones in my paintings, which I definitely don’t usually gravitate to. I also like his shapes, many of which are made by taping off areas as masks to preserve the painted surfaces beneath.
He is a British artist working in France. He paints mostly in acrylic with some mixed media and collage, and his works can be quite pricey.
