I’m glad to be back on the shores of Long Lake for my 18th year of Creative Arts Camp. This year I plan to make a short video for my new art website, and slide in some painting and swimming on the side.
It is uncanny to be back in the same place with so many dear friends returning. It is almost like that movie Groundhog Day; we do this again every year. I hope I get a chance to truly chat with everyone, since I know how fast this week will whiz by. Hopefully this session will go slower since my goals here this year are more modest than usual, although filming myself may be tricky. Next year, I’ve been asked to teach (painted paper collage).
So far, the weather has been lovely, and the food better than usual. The new cook is a young woman, married only two weeks ago. After Wednesday church, we sang songs with a fire on the beach, with the moon (and a hint of the milky way) above, and loons calling all around.
Life is good!
