Sense and Sensibility (Review of BBC 2008 version)

I don’t know how I’ve missed this since 2008, but I’m so glad to have seen it now. I like it best of all versions of Sense and Sensibility yet.

For me, except for Willoughby, the casting is perfect. The cinematography is wonderful, and so beyond other productions of this story.  The seaside location of  the Dashwood cottage is absolutely stunning, and this breathtaking location is worth watching the whole movie for.

I heartily recommend this adaptation, and give it five stars. If you are like me and somehow missed this stellar two part series that is a vast improvement on previous versions, you’ll be glad to see it. We watched it with our daughters on Hulu, but I hear it is on Amazon Prime as well.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
